Brenda Chenowith / Rachel Griffiths

Brenda, è il grande amore di Nate. E' una donna intelligente (considerata fin da piccola un prodigio e oggetto di studi psichiatrici), sensibile anche se scettica sulla possibilità di essere felice nella vita. Ha un fortissimo legame con suo fratello Billy , un maniaco depressivo e dotato fotografo.

BIO)Nata in Australia, a Melbourne, Rachel Griffiths si è diplomata presso il Victoria College in teatro e danza. Poco dopo gli studi è entrata nel gruppo teatrale Woolly Jumpers Inc. I primi riconoscimenti internazionali le sono giunti grazie all’interpretazione di Rhonda in Le nozze di Muriel che le è valso 2 premi (l’Australian Film Critics Award e l’Australian Film Institute Award) come migliore attrice non protagonista.

Nel 2002 ha ricevuto una nomination al Golden Globe come migliore attrice non protagonista in una serie TV per la sua partecipazione a Six Feet Under. La sua brillante carriera cinematografica l’ha vista recitare in diversi film, tra cui Il matrimonio del mio migliore amico, Jude, La notte di Starkey - Divorcing Jack, Children of the Revolution e Hilary & Jackie per il quale è stata candidata all’Oscar come migliore attrice non protagonista.

Rachel è rimasta comunque molto legata al mondo del teatro, e torna regolarmente in Australia per partecipare alle produzioni della Melbourne Theater Company.
