Richard Jenkins / Nathaniel Fisher

Il defunto Nathaniel Fisher in vita era un grande lavoratore, completamente dedito all'azienda di famiglia. Dopo la sua morte, avvenuta per un incidente di macchina alla vigilia di Natale (mentre canticchiava "I'll Be Home for Christmas"), il figlio Nate scopre interessanti cose su di lui, che non avrebbe mai sospettato. Nathaniel rivive grazie ai ricordi della sua famiglia (appare nei flashback) e serve loro da conforto e coscienza.

BIO)È nato a Dekalb, in Illinois. Nel corso della sua carriera ha collezionato una lunga serie di ruoli cinematografici. Tra i film più recenti ai quali ha partecipato: L’uomo che non c’era (2001), Dimmi che non è vero (2001), e ancora Tutti pazzi per Mary, Gli infiltrati, Potere assoluto e Amori e disastri per il quale è stato candidato all’Indipendent Spirit Award.

In passato è comparso in The Indian and the Cupboard – La chiave magica, Bufera in paradiso, Può succedere anche a te, Gli anni dei ricordi, Le streghe di Eastwick e Il sentiero dei ricordi. Ultimamente è comparso sul grande schermo in Destini incrociati, con Harrison Ford e Kristin Scott-Thomas; Io, me & Irene, con Jim Carrey e nel film di Mike Nichols Da che pianeta vieni? con Garry Shandling. In TV è stato protagonista dei film televisivi Into Thin Air: Death on Everest, The Boys Next Door e Guerra al virus. È inoltre apparso in Spenser: For Hire e Miami Vice.

Per quattro anni è stato direttore artistico della Trinity Repertory Company di Providence, nel Rhode Island.
